Thinking In Front Of A Tiger

The Creative Consultant is confronted with challenge upon challenge and that's when the urge to 'flight or fight' usually rears its ugly head. I like what Mencius once said:

"If you know the point of balance,
you can settle the details.
If you can settle the details,
you can stop running around.
Your mind will become calm.
If your mind can become calm,
you can think in front of a tiger.
If you can think in front of a tiger, you will surely succeed".

Finding the point of balance is the first priority. Processing clearly and cleanly. You learn to dispatch whatever shows up which is a fine form of response- ability. In sensitizing and training yourself to do this, you become a better consultant, and a more prolific creator. Have the discipline to find the balance in everything you do.

Above all, and as old and hackneyed as the phrase has become: 'believe in yourself'.It really is the only way to stare the tiger in the face and continue to function.
